The British Virgin Islands are located sixty miles east of Puerto Rico and twenty miles northeast of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Our nearest airport is the Terrence B. Lettsome Airport on Beef Island, Tortola (Airport code EIS). All flights connect through other Caribbean Islands such as Puerto Rico (SJU), St. Thomas (STT), Antigua (ANU), St. Kitts (SKB) or St. Maarten (SXM).
Numerous public ferries connect the US Virgin Islands with the British Virgin Islands. See Ferry schedules. Always confirm timings directly with the ferry companies as they are subject to change.
The Cooper Island ferry dock is located at Road Harbour Marina, Port Purcell, Road Town (next door to BVI Yacht Charters). Our scheduled ferry service departs from Cooper Island at 7.30am on Mon, Wed and Fri. It then departs Road Town to return to Cooper at 11am. Charter services are available for other days/times.
